COYAD Holiday Photoshoot

On Saturday, December 4th, COYAD hosted a free holiday photoshoot event for the residents of Gwinnett County. We provided light snacks, delicious hot chocolate, and life-saving drug prevention information to each family who participated in the shoot. 

COYAD Legal Seminar with attorney Jason Park

Wednesday, December 1, 2021


On Wednesday, December 1st, COYAD hosted criminal defense attorney Jason Park to give a legal Q and A session for our clients. In addition to this, COYAD provided an informational seminar about our nonprofit organization which detailed our goals in the fight against youth drug addiction. We highlighted our 3C system and how we use it to provide drug education, prevention, and leadership training for youth in Gwinnett County. 

COYAD Teamed up with Gwinnett County Keybo Taylor Sheriff Community Outreach Section

Wednesday, October 6, 2021 


On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, COYAD met with the Gwinnett County Keybo Taylor Sheriff Community Outreach Section. The Community Outreach Section connects the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office with the community through innovative and collaborative programs and services. COYAD will be collaborating with the Community Outreach Section to help Gwinnett County Residents who is in need of assistance. 

COYAD PTA Seminar & Youth Forum

On Saturday, August 21, 2021, COYAD held the 1st PTA Seminar and 2nd Youth Forum at the Lilburn Activity Center. In the first session, the parents and students were informed about COYAD's mission and vision. In the 2nd session, the parents and students were separated into two groups where parents were taught on How to identify Drug use by Ms. Kimberly Alexander, Chief Clinical Officer of MARR Addiction Treatment Center. Whereas the youth group discussed addiction and addictive behaviors with Ms. Melissa Baden, Primary Counselor of MARR Addiction Treatment Center. 


COYAD Milwaukee Wisconsin

Anti Bully and Anti Drug Education Seminar

On Saturday, August 14, 2021 COYAD Milwaukee held an Anti-Bully and Anti-Drug Education Seminar at J.K Lee Germantown Milwaukee Wisconsin. Master Duke Lee provided the Anti-Bully Seminar so that children can be prepared before they go back to school. In addition, an Anti-Drug Education was given by Milwaukee Youth Leaders, firsthand drug stories were shared by FBI agents and Mrs. Amanda Kieturkus shared her experience as an Ascension Behavioral Health Care Registered Nurse.



COYAD Youth Forum

On Saturday, July 31, 2021, COYAD held the first Youth Forum at Lilburn Activity Building. Mark Chae, who is an active COYAD Student Member and Volunteer, helped plan out the event and explained what COYAD is and the importance of drug prevention to fellow students. In addition, we had guest speakers from Navigation Hope who explained how substance abuse can affect our brains. Also, the students proposed campaign strategies and methods on how to hold a drug prevention campaign in their own schools.

On Saturday, June 5, 2021, COYAD held a press conference regarding the $800,000.00 of grant funding by Gwinnett County to support and offer relief services to Gwinnett County residents who were affected by COVID-19. 

President Paul B. Lim said he is pleased to receive this grant award and that COYAD will put it towards the COYAD CARE project that will give public service programs. 

The COYAD CARE project aims to provide mental health counseling, housing education, financial assistance, homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing, and street outreach to those who have been impacted by COVID-19.

On Saturday, May 15, 2021, COYAD held the Advisory Board Meeting at COYAD Atlanta office. We briefly introduced what is COYAD and that we are preparing to organize a COYAD PTA and COYAD Taekwondo organization to our advisors. In addition, we introduced our new $800,000 Round 3 Grant Award by Gwinnett County. We also mentioned the Advisor's Role in COYAD and how can they contribute to making a drug-free environment.

COYAD Volunteer Appreciation Lunch

On Sunday, April 4, 2021, COYAD held a volunteer appreciation lunch at Collins Park from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The event was hosted to thank the volunteers for their service and time during our COYAD CARE Food Drive events. COYAD prepared Korean BBQ and raffle giveaways. This event was conducted in compliance with the cdc regulations.

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, COYAD held a COYAD CARE Food Drive at Chang Chun Acupuncture. It was a small food drive where we gave 15 residents and/or families who were significantly impacted by COVID-19. They had  an opportunity to receive $50 worth of food and two $50 vouchers for Zion market. 

COYAD Korean Community Membership Ceremony

On Sunday 6:00 PM, February 7, 2021 COYAD held a COYAD introduction presentation and membership ceremony for the Korean community members and volunteers. The event consisted of a short introduction to COYAD's mission and the membership ceremony for the new COYAD members. About 30 members and volunteers participated in this ceremony. 

COYAD CARE Food Drive - Round 5

On Sunday, February 7, 2021 COYAD held the COYAD CARE Food Drive ROUND 5 by sponsoring FAITH 4 MEDIA. COYAD sponsored 35 food boxes and two $50 vouchers for Zion Market. This time, the applicants were people who are deaf-mute. They expressed their gratitude, saying they were happy to receive the food boxes. About 20 volunteers participated and supported the event by delivering the food boxes and vouchers to the recipients. 

COYAD CARE Food Drive - Round 4

Sunday, January 24, 2021


On Sunday January 24, 2021 COYAD held the COYAD CARE Food Drive ROUND 4. COYAD teamed up with Gwinnett County to help the community residents that were significantly impacted by COVID-19. COYAD staff members organized the third round of the three food drives where we gave 300 residents and/or families an opportunity to receive $50 worth of food and two $50 vouchers for Zion market. Many volunteers participated and helped out delivering the food boxes to the recipients.
